More than a simple bakery, Maison Lissajoux is the fulfilment of our childhood dreams. We are a couple, Nicolas and Jean, married for 15 years and both absolutely passionate when it comes to food and hospitality. Following our careers in France and abroad in the hospitality and luxury industries,  settled down in the Périgord Noir to give birth to this project of a lifetime. We are both graduates of the highly reputed French Bakery School, the Ecole Christian Vabret - Meilleur Ouvrier de France.  

Now a few lines on our respective backgrounds. Jean, has made a career in prestigious gastronomic London venues; Nicolas meanwhile was a designer for famous fashion houses of the LVMH group, after graduating with honours from Chelsea College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, and the Royal College of Art in London.

Maison Lissajoux is above all the combination of our creativity, our savoir-faire and our love for the area from which we both come from. Our sensitivity, strict work ethic and sharp eye for details are reflected both in the range of products we offer and in our snug boutique at the gates of the medieval city.

This contemporary space, entirely open on the bakehouse, offers a variety of breads, eat-ins and take-aways, pastries and other lovely little cakes, all made on site from natural sourdough, with locally sourced premium flour, and all that, made by hand, with love, in front of you!

Maison Lissajoux runs over two floors with a shaded rooftop for the sunny days. A unique concept in the Périgord Noir which emphasizes the quality of the ingredient, the nobility of the savoir-faire, the transparency towards the customer but above all the love for the finest things...

Whether it is for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or high-tea on site, but also for some good bread or any other treat to take away, we will be happy to welcome you.
